KINESIO TAPING

Kinesio Taping (KT) is a rehabilitative and therapeutic taping method used to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints. Its commonly used in treating sporting injuries and joint alignment problems.

Kinesio Taping has unique elastic properties that provides dynamic support to our body. It almost acts as a second skin that aims to protect your muscles and joints – this taping technique will allow full mobility of our joints when applied.

It applies soft tissue manipulation prolonging the affects of manual therapy which has been provided in the clinical setting. This KT taping technique can be effective during acute and chronic rehabilitation phases of an injury. Its also effective as a preventative measure for new or re-occurring injuries.

The main benefits of KT application include:

Kinesio Tape is latex-free and may be wearable for days at a time, it’s breathable allowing our skin to breathe even when its become wet.

There is no compression on the skin – therefore making it light to feel on the skin and comfortable to wear over a longer period of time.
